September Luncheon

Yesterday we had a great group of members and guests attend the FWN luncheon at Diana Court. The sponsor was New York Life and Linda Lu spoke on the importance of saving for retirement and the unforeseen problems that can happen with Long Term Medical care.

I was the luncheon speaker and presented an overview and tour of the FWN website and the great features that we have  for our members. Apart from advertising opportunities you can link to our site using the code that is available on the website, you can register for every monthly luncheon online, view upcoming events on the calendar, and read the monthly President's Message.  We also discussed the change to the Newsletter and starting in October it will not be downloadable as a pdf. All the information will be on the website and you will be emailed eConnections with links to all the articles. Did you know that all the eConnections are archived on the website?

For our members we have the "Member's Only" area where you can register and login and find even more important information.  This area contains the database where you can search for other members and avail yourself of their services. There is also content on networking, Connect4, and much more......

Have you joined the Member's Only Forum yet? This is a great place to connect with Committee Chairs, learn about the website, ask questions, get answers and also start your own threads so don't forget to check it out!

We will be starting Webinar sessions in January and we want your input as to what kind of training you would like to see. Please email me with suggestions as we want this to be informative and educational.

Here are links to FWN external social media sites:

Another topic I discussed was browsers and the one that I mentioned was Google Chrome and how fast it is. Here is a link for you to read all about it and download if you wish!

Looking forward to seeing you at the next luncheon!

April 8th Fundraiser at Tahoe Joe's

Tahoe Joe's is hosting a fundraiser for Fresno Women's Network! On April 8th only, you can visit either of the two Tahoe Joe's locations in Fresno and Fresno Women’s Network will receive 20% of the sales.

Tahoe Joe's says "Since day one, our community involvement has been an essential part of our company. We are committed to making a difference in the communities in which we do business.  Tahoe Joe's Famous Steakhouse enjoys being a part of charitable activities and organizations.  Our desire is to make a difference while making "Friends of Joe" along the way."

It is the food at Tahoe Joe’s Famous Steakhouse that turns first-time restaurant visitors into long term guests.  Our steaks are USDA, Midwest corn fed beef, cut thick and charbroiled over a cracklin’ hard wood fire.  Our signature items, such as slow-roasted Joe’s Steak™, the Railroad Camp Shrimp™ and the to-die-for homemade Nevada Cheesecake™ are favorites our guests crave and are only available at Tahoe Joe’s Famous Steakhouse.

Come join the Fresno Women's Network on April 8th and enjoy a great meal with friends and family.
